Log-in to Gmail with your account
- Click “Manage your Google Account” from the profile menu or visit – https://security.google.com/settings/security/apppasswords
- Click the link “Security” from the left side menu.
- Enable the “2-Step Verification” option.
- Click “Get Started”
- Click the “Continue” button
- Input your mobile/cell phone number and click “Next”
- Input verification code/SMS code
- Click “Turn On”
- Click the link “Security” from the left side menu.
- Click “App password”
- In ‘select app’ choose ‘Other (Custom Name)’, give it a name, and press generate
- In ‘select app’ choose ‘Other (Custom Name)’, give it a name, and press generate
- It will give you 16 characters token (App password)
Gmail SMTP Configuration for two-step authentication
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP User Name: GMail account (email@gmail.com)
SMTP Password: your 16 characters token.
SMTP Port: 587 or 465
SMTP Authentication/TLS/SSL Required: yes
- Use the 16 characters token as “SMTP Password”
